One

Zechariah 14:9 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth: in that day shall there be One LORD, and His Name One.

Phil 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given Him a Name which is above every name:
10 That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Its amazing. How can this be done? Throughout history there have been no king that could rule the earth. The greatest conquerors in the past had to fight so hard and long, at the cost of thousands and millions of lives, and they never fulfilled their ambitions of conquering the world. Napoleon Bonaparte, Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Nebuchadnezzar, Hitler, Stalin.

None of them reached even half their goals. And although their empires are great, they never lasted long. And even Napoleon said himself that he conquered using armies and men but Christ conquered the world through love.

And so in that future day, the One who rules over all the earth was not one who had great powers and wealth or one who had great political abilities or one who had elite armies and weapons and generals. He was the carpenter from Nazareth of Galilee. He was that Person who was "crucified through weakness". He was the One who died for all of our sins on the cross.
He is the Savior of the world. And very soon He will be Lord of the world.

Rebellion is futile. Trust Him.

Psalm 2
1 ¶ Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His Anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set My King upon My holy hill of Zion.
7 ¶ I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto Me, Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten Thee.
8 Ask of Me, and I shall give Thee the heathen for Thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 ¶ Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.
