DAILY READINGS: Exodus 16; Psalm 52-54; Acts 9:1-31
The God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou
not glorified.
Daniel 5:23
The average resting, healthy, human inhales about sixteen times per minute.
And every breath comes from the hand of God. This was true of the king of Babylon, but he failed to honour God for this simple and basic blessing of life. And, therefore, God weighed him, found him wanting and he died. It does not pay to forget God. Are you reconciled to Him? Or shall the day come when your thankless soul will be doomed, because you have failed to
glorify the God in whose hand your breath is?
--Doug Kazen
Praise His name, who died to save us; tis by Him His people live; And in Him the Father gave us, all that boundless love could give, Life eternal in our Saviour we receive.
--Thomas Kelly
Seriously, there is much Uncertainty in life.
And actually there is absolutely no guarantee that we'll wake up tomorrow.
Because there is such a thing as dying in your sleep.
So if you say you are a Christian, after you close your eyes to sleep, when you wake up, do you have the assurance that if its not on your bed on earth, the next possible place is heaven?
Do you have that guarantee?
Or is going to be hell?
If we are Christ's, we are in His hands and No one can ever take us out of His hands.
