Compiled prayer requests this week

WINNIPEG, CANADA
Dear co-workers

An open air gospel outreach being held in Winnipeg on Sunday afternoon, September 24th. Three Winnipeg assemblies: St James Gospel Chapel, Oxford Bible Church and Grace Chapel are working together to present three 40-minute open air programs with each one following a similar format but using different local believers to share a personal testimony, special music and a sketchboard sermon. There will also be a local Christian band play at the beginning of each open air session.

The outreach will take place at Assiniboine Park, a 1100 acre city park that contains our zoo. The Lord has arranged for us to have an excellent site at the busiest spot in the park. We will be erecting a stage area and using amplification. One of the local elders has written a tract for the outreach and we will also be giving away copies of Ultimate Questions, the Bible and Gary Week's CD "Eternity".

We are praying that the Lord will give us a great day weather-wise and that everyone involved might be Christ-like and clear in their presentation of the good news whether they are testifying, singing, preaching or turning to talk to the crowd after each sermon. We are praying that many saints might come out and be "the crowd that draws a crowd".

Gospel Outreach at Heidelberg Bible Fellowship
The assembly in Heidelberg, Ontario (near Waterloo) is having an outreach from Sept. 12-18 with brother Joe Reese presenting the gospel in a variety of settings.

On Tuesday and Thursday evenings there will be "cottage" meetings in the homes of two families from the assembly. The objective is try to bring neighbours and friends in who would not come to a church building.

Friday evening is a youth rally, with youth from neighbouring assemblies invited as well.

Saturday morning is a men's breakfast with Joe sharing his testimony.
Similar breakfasts in the past have seen as many as 30 unsaved men present.
Saturday and Sunday evenings will see more traditional gospel meetings.

An invitation to the meetings was mailed to over 3,000 homes in the community and a newspaper ad will appear on Friday in the local paper and of course countless personal invitations have been given.

Your prayers for these meetings and for Joe as he speaks, would be greatly appreciated.

PRAY FOR REVIVAL IN IRELAND
We have received a request from brother Derek Watson of Ireland for prayer for a special series of meetings taken by Peter Brandon, called specifically to seek the Lord's help in sending revival to Ireland. These meetings will commence at 8:00 pm each evening September 11th to 21st 2006, Lord willing, at Kings Hall Conference Centre in Belfast.

Please petition the Lord:

- for the Spirit in fulness to be present with them
- for a true longing in our hearts for revival
- for a willingness to be honest with the Lord
- for the people of God to be united in spirit
- for health and strength for our brother Brandon

PRAY FOR TRUE REVIVAL IN OUR LAND, IN OUR DAY, IN OUR HEARTS
